Interfaces are crucial to a successful design and this area of design is often not given the attention it deserves. By working closely with the supply chain and other design departments a cohesive and integrated design can be achieved at first pass by having agreed interfaces in place for all departments to work with. The additional effort required in monitoring interface data early in the process will save time and money in the latter stages.
